We are the Canadian branch, which provides accessible STEM education to underprivileged children across the country.
Sciencious Canada's mission
Despite Canada being one of the world's wealthiest and most advanced countries, many people still live under the poverty line. According to the government’s website, that includes 680 000 children. Sadly, because of the lack of financial abilities, passionate kids cannot pursue their interest in STEM. That is why we, at Sciencious Canada, ought to fight this issue by offering free online tutoring lessons by connecting different tutors across Canada, doing in-person events, associating with schools, and working with different nonprofits that can help them.
About us
Each lesson, whether it's run one-to-one or in a group, goes like this: the tutor has a topic for the meeting, with which the student starts by making a hypothesis, then the tutor explains further the topic and then the class ends with questions/discussions. This lets the student develop his critical thinking skills, as well as his communication skills. This plan might vary from on tutor to another, with additional activities added in.

The students allowed to take our tutoring lessons should only meet 3 criteria: having a computer/phone/iPad for the meetings, being aged between 7-16 years old, and being in Canada. That's it!
