Mission
The performance of American children is subpar compared to other countries in science and mathematics departments. With this preset notoriety, it presses the need to develop this education, especially for those who might not have access to it in the first place. Countless children in America have an innate passion for STEM, a passion combated by their unfortunate circumstances. Sciencious US promotes free STEM online tutoring for underprivileged children seeking them.
How it Works
Sciencious US has a group of tutors who have certain skill sets and interests within the fields of STEM. They will be matched to students with aligning interests. The lessons work by the tutor having a topic for the lesson. The student will then create a hypothesis from this, and the tutor will go into depth, developing on the hypothesis and explaining concepts surrounding the topic. The tutor may introduce various activities as they rule fit. This allows an environment for the student to sort of dictate the lessons themselves, using critical thinking skills. Sciencious does not warrant an environment of right and wrong, and instead encourages students to freely explore their interests in a grade-free, safe environment.
